EDU-AID PROJECT

Educational Aid Project (also known as EDU-AID PROJECT) is another initiative of BEST-BRAIN GLOBAL SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION that enables Pupils in various Schools and Children in various communities across the Country to have free access to certain help to prosecute their Education. This programme focuses more on taking care of the underprivileged children and vulnerable ones in various dimensions. EDU-AID PROJECT comes in different phases and/or with different solutions at different times and communities. Hence, there shall be EDU-AID PROJECT 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. solving differs problems in various communities across the 6 Regions of Nigeria. We plan to spend $360,000 under EDU-AID PROJECT 1 in 6 Communities across the 6 Geo-political zones of the Nation; i.e. spending $60,000 in each selected Community. Rotational Principle would be applicable here. It would be one Community per State in a Zone and this effort will continue every year until the NGO tours round the 36 States in Nigeria and Federal Capital Territory.
TARGET IMPACT
1,000 Average Reduction in the Number of Out-of-School Children in each Community; therefore, on a full execution of EDU-AID PROJECT 1 there should be 6,000 Average Total Reduction in the Number of Out-of-School Children across the 6 Geo-political Zones.
FUTURE TARGET IMPACT
If our Projects are executed biannually as planned; it means every year there shall be 12,000 Average Total Reduction in the Number of Out-of-School Children across the 6 Geo-political Zones through the Activities of the NGO.

GOALS& OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGAMME

• Facilitating the Enrolment and/or Payment of School Fees for the Underprivileged
• Facilitating the Payment of Examinations Fees for the Underprivileged
• Facilitating the Provision of Study Accessories for the Underprivileged
• Re-enrolling of the Drop-outs
• Facilitating the Provision of Free Health Care Services and Sensitizations against Epidemic, Addiction, Rape, Sexual Abuse/Harassment, Unwanted Pregnancy, Abortion, Child Marriage etc.

Remember that according to Gordon Brown, the United Nations Special Envoy, “Nigeria has one of the world’s largest populations of out-of-school youth…More than eight million Nigerian children, 60 per cent of them girls, is not in school and won’t have the skills they need to get jobs and build secure, stable futures” (http://punchng.com/400m-girls-will-be-excluded-from-employment-by-2030-un-warns/). Meanwhile, it is not good that Government alone be left with finding solution to this lingering problem. All of us have certain roles to play.
